Hardware Design Services
A full range of hardware design services are offered from feasibility studies and conceptual
design, through solid modelling to circuit design, PCB layout and mechanical design.

Typically this involves electronic and mechanical design for extended electro-magnetic
compatibility and extreme, aggressive physical environments. These have included mast
head enclosures subjected to the extremes of solar radiation, physical vibration, shock
loading and low temperatures, through to thousand metre rated sub-sea pressure vessels.

Enclosure/Electrical Design - Mechanical and electrical drawings are produced using
industry standard software packages and formats. Version control techniques are tailored to
suit the customers own systems so as to ensure seamless integration.

Circuit Design - Schematic capture, including simulation and SPICE modelling if required,
is carried out using industry standard software packages. Layout and CAM drawings can be
produced in a number of different formats.

Manufacture - We can produce prototypes for the proof of concept phase and have
extensive contacts with external contract manufacturing organisations to support any level of
subsequent manufacture. These same contacts also allow us to carry out value engineering
activities at an early stage in the products development.

Test - Extensive experience in the design and support of a wide range of tests including
factory, harbour and system acceptance; environmental, EMC, magnetic, NCUE, pressure
and soak. Extensive contacts with third party test houses and experience with a wide range
of standards, allow us to identify the most cost effective route to compliance.
